October 6 - He Dwelt Among Man

    • Why is it significant that Jesus came to live as a human (and God) on earth?

    • What do we learn about the humility of God by Jesus being born as a baby?

    • What does the life of Jesus tell us about our lives? Who are you called to dwell among in this season?

October 13 - He Got Away

Scripture:

  • Matthew 14:13-33 - Just after Jesus receives news that his cousin has been killed

Questions:

  • When do we see Jesus getting away by himself? Why does it he do it?

  • Matthew passage - What do we learn about God? What do we learn about man?

  • What is God instructing you to do when it comes to being with Jesus?

Assignment:

  • Spend some time sitting with God this week and just repeating: “You are my dearly loved Son/Daughter, and you bring me great joy.” (Mark 1:11)

  • Write out Psalm 34 and ask God to show you himself.

October 20 - He Lived Radically

  • When we think about Jesus living radically, what stands out as you read this passage?

  • What do we learn about Jesus?

  • Read Romans 12:1-2. What encouragement and challenge should we take away from this?

November 3 - He Asked Good Questions

  • Why do you think Jesus asked questions? (He already knew the answers!)

  • How do we offer our owns lives a sacrifice to first the Lord, but also for the good of others?

November 17 - He Resurrected

  • What is significant for you as you read the verses in Romans 8?

  • Read 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. How has Christ made YOU new?

  • What does the resurrection mean for us as believers? Why is it important?
